Taking 'Soap' Into Our Own Hands

Our first steps we take towards a cleaner and more environmentally conscious and healthy world, lead us straight to our cosmetics-filled bathroom cabinet. A cabinet that is constantly filled with a myriad of packages and bottles, packed with fragrances and bright colors, unlike anything we've ever actually experienced in our garden. Every product is headlined with promises of “Improved Formulas”, “SLS Free”, “Peptide Free”, “Contains Baking Soda" and "No Aluminum”, “Coconut Oil Based” and it goes on and on, until we find ourselves in a state of blissful confusion.

And, the deeper you dive into the ingredients - into the specific role each ingredient plays in making the ‘foam foamier and the ‘smell smellier’ and the ‘shampoo shampooier’ - the more disheartened you become. How did we even get here?

On the other hand, if you’ve ever tried using all ‘natural’ products, you may have found the experience to be quite "dampening" (literally). Well, no one ever said the first steps into a plastic-free world would be easy, but we can promise we’ll do everything we can to make your transition a “refreshing” one.

We started by introducing our multi-use drinking straws, simply because it’s feasible and even more enjoyable to sip through a stainless-steel straw (try it with a chilled cocktail, you’ll find there’s no going back). And we’re now moving on to the launch of a new line of 5 special soap bars, that are already getting excellent feedback in the farm shop and are promising to be a timeless hit just like the straws.

"We nurture a kitchen garden, farm shop, and a magazine, dedicated to making sustainability accessible and eco-responsibility cool."

We explored 5 spatial terrains:

Where we conducted an in-depth study of the plants, the soil, and the smells so we could create a complete and natural environment to reflect each.

Each soap bar weighs about 160 grams, (a nice big pampering size) and they came out beautiful - but also perfectly cost-effective and eco-considerate.

People who come to the farm, will almost always be seen holding a fragrant bunch of herbs, leaves and flowers to nuzzle while they stroll through the field and garden. As we hold and feel the textures of the greenery between our fingers, the smell is “unlocked” and released to the air.

And as we close our eyes and breath in these fragrances, our memories are awakened, and we can travel to the different places.

The 5 natural terrains we chose, are representative of our local flora, and the soaps create a synergy between the plants’ healing properties and their contribution to the health of our skin.
